Escenas de la película Los gitanos van al cielo, Rusia- 1976 Directed by: Emil Loteanu
Based on the writings of Soviet author Maxim Gorky, Emil Lotheanu brings the rolling hills of Moldova to life with swirling colour, drama, horse tricks, and song in his telling of the ill-fated love affair between two beautiful young Roma. Zobara (Grigore Grigoriu) a wild and handsome horse thief falls helplessly under the spell of the irrepressible Rada (Svetlana Toma). Powerless to alter their destiny, the young lovers embark on a courtship, inching ever closer to death with each fervid meeting. A seminal work in its depiction of Romany people on screen, Loteanu's visually sumptuous masterpiece is breathtaking in its scale and sheer romance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKcyTT_J3J8

Rada and Zobar: A Gypsy Love Story, 3 (English subs)- 5.31 min
Based on a 1892 story by Maxim Gorki, "Gypsies Are Found Near
Heaven" (Таборуходитвнебо) won the "Big
Golden Shell" at the 1976 San Sebastian festival. The film was so
successful, that it went around the globe, being sold in 120 countries. It's a
romanticized version of the life of the nomad Gypsies at the end of 19th
century, in the North East border area of the Austrian Empire. I post here five
scenes about the love story between Rada, a beautiful Gypsy Girl and Luiku
Zobar, a fearless horse thief. They have wonderful music, exotic dance, beautiful
imagery and a lot of raw passion.

no written language Gypsy the differences stem from the way the local population saved the lyrics written.y Emil Lotyanu from 1976.

I've
been listening for Bregovic and seeing the films of Kusturika by a couple of years ago,
and I'm learning a little of romanian; but I haven't understood completly the
history of the old Yugoslavia and the history of balkans... The last part is a
rendition of "ruzica si
bila" but does anyone know this version?Gordy Ohhace 1 mes It is the song of all

This
is a piece of Soviet film: "Camp Goes to Heaven". The main role - Svetlana Toma. Soviet artists - brilliant. Soviet movies - real art.
With the victory of capitalism, the real art died.

Perfect Gypsy band! This music belongs to the romanian gypsy band called "Taraful de la
Clejani". The songs are created by them, they are not greek,
bulgarian or turkish. And if they were inspired by something, they were
inspired by the romanian culture, the country they lived in. They sing about
the revolution from 1989, and about how the ruler or the country
"Ceausescu" was taken down & other stuff. It's here for everyone
to enjoy it, but give credit to the creators of this awesomeness!..
