RITMO-
FOLI (there is no movement
without rhythm) original version by Thomas- 10.51 minutos
Dedicated to the people of Baro. Please share.
Life has a rhythm, it's constantly moving.
The word for rhythm ( used by the Malinke tribes ) is FOLI.
It is a word that encompasses so much more than drumming, dancing or sound.
It's found in every part of daily life.
In this film you not only hear and feel rhythm but you see it.
It's an extraordinary blend of image and sound that
feeds the senses and reminds us all
how essential it is.

Comentarios- The rhythm is still in our genes so lets stay connected
visit the mother land. Make that our journey
priority list. Great video. I like the beats and the rhythm with which it
sounds. The moves by the dancers near the end of the video is amazing. They are so agile and gels with the beats of the drums. First, to the makers and participants in this video: well done!- Now to the ramblings. This video made me think about things like tradition
and heritage. While it clearly demonstrates both, it also points out the
transient nature of culture. African children speak French and play plastic
bottles made in China, Scots where a version of the kilt that was popularized
by English landlords, American suburbanites adapt Indian barbeque to celebrate
independence. All culture is shared, like it or not.
