It is said that Music has power to heal, to calm mind, we have all experienced it. But when we combine music with the sound of our chants, we enhance the effect of music 1000 times. The sound, the vibration of our own voice send these healing vibrations throughout our body.
MANTRA + MEANING ~ AKAL MAHAKAL ~
Akal Mahakal is a powerful mantra and one of most essential mantra to meditate upon to remove fear. especially the fear and anxiety of death.
Akal means timeless, something which was not created in time.
Mahakal means greater than the time itself.
This mantra describes the true nature of our soul. Whatever is created with time dies with time. everything in this world that we see will disappear with time. but thats not our true nature of our soul, the infinite creative being which is part of the whole, which is connected to every other soul in this universe. Our bodies might get vanished but the soul is timeless, it becomes one with that infinite creative power, that infinite creative energy which creates this universe. So why we fear of death? Meditate, understand and chant this beautiful mantra.
Snatam Kaur Chants "Akal" to Honor the Departed-14.11 min
Snatam Kaur chants the sacred mantra "Akal" which means
"Undying" to honor the souls of the departed. This powerful chant can
be used anytime a loved one passes to honor their spirit and help them 'cross
into the blue ethers', as it is known in the Kundalini yoga tradition,
essentially helping the soul move on to another dimension of life.
This amazing chant, sung by Snatam Kaur at Sat Nam Fest East 2013, was
sung in honor of Holy Kaur, a long-time member of the Kundalini yoga community.
Spirit Voyage released this
video on the 10th Anniversary of the passing of Yogi Bhajan,
I recorded the chant this summer for my young friend Forest Raven when
she died. In fact, Forest insisted I get off my butt and record it for her
moms. My friend Kim Rushing died on Saturday, and I am chanting it for her, and
added some images in support of the journey to the Infinite, Undying.
